Agreeing on Planet Diameters and assigning work

First planets being built

Working as a team on final project.

Positioning my sun in the center of our solar system.

More planets underway.

See the elements which are showing from other sections of Rocket World.  I will have to fix that.

Planet sizes and assignments

These are the planet sizes and assignments.  Since Atsawin is out of the country I also took responsibility for Uranus

Visited Planet Pixel Emporium

Visited Planet Pixel Emporium.  This is the same site which I found during my search for planet textures.

Roll Call 2 Class #12 John Hardiman

Read 9 pages on Entering the Third Dimension

Read Entering the Third Dimension which described the history of 3 D images and Monocular Depth cues

Atmospheric Perspective Monocular Depth Cue John Hardiman

this image is an example of Atmospheric Perspective Monocular Depth Cue.  the circle objects appear to be fuzzy and less clear.  This makes them seem a greater distance away.

Linear Perspective Monocular Depth Cue - John Hardiman

This image is an example of linear perspective monocular depth cue.  The lines of the roof and floor seem to get closer together as you go to the right.  This makes it appear as though the structure is getting further away as you go to the right.

Occlusion Monoculare Depth Cue John Hardiman

This is an example of the Occlusion Monocular depth Cue.  Notice how one stanchion appears to be in front of the rocket while the other appears to be behind it.  this creates the appearance of 3 D.

Size Difference Monoculare Depth Cue

The two pictures demonstrate the size difference monocular depth cue.  The rocket on the right appear to be further away since it is smaller that the one on the left.

From this angle both rockets appear to be the same size.

Monoculare Depth Cue Texture Density - John Hardiman

From this angle all the bricks appear to be spaced evenly.
This is an example of the Texture density Monocular Depth Cue.  Notice how the bricks appear to be more tightly packed as you look to the right creating the feeling that the wall is getting farther away from you.

Monoculare Depth Cue Light and Shading - John Hardiman

This is an example of the Lighting and Shading Monocular Depth Cue.  The tube appear to be 3 dimensional since the is varied levels of lighting and shading applied to them.  Notice how the create the appearance of the inside by reversing the light and shade patterns.
